Eye Shadows for the Festive Season

So, yes, I'm early. But the holidays aren't that far away! I've already even attended one pre-Christmas party and so I thought it would be really nice to share some of my favourite makeup picks for the upcoming season. Anyway, I know I'm not the only crazy person, who starts craving for christmassy treats, decorations and products way too early ;)

I thought I'd start my little series with eye shadows, continued by nail polishes and finally lipsticks. I have three products in each category and they're all so Holiday appropriate!

First up is the ever so lovely Naked Smoky palette by Urban Decay. It is amazing and you can create some gorgeous looks with the 12 shades. I think the great advantage of this palette is that you can actually do both, either a warmer or a cooler look. Most of the shades are colder toned but it also hads some really lovely golden and brown shades.

What the Naked Smoky palette lacks, in my opinion, is a couple of my favourite warmer shades: a proper bronze or copper and a nice champagne shade. Luckily I have both of them as individuals by Rimmel. The bronze eye shadow (Magnif eyes 006 Bronze Magnate) has been living on my eye lids lately. It is absolutely gorgeous and really flatters blue eyes! As does the champagne shade (Glam' eyes 102 Backstage) too actually. Both shades are really pigmented and such bargains!

In general, what I would recommend is a bit of shimmer and sparkle. The days are only getting darker now and a hint of extra light makes everybody a little cheerier. :)

Who else loves the festive season? <3

    1. I love Rimmel too! And oh no, that's a very very hard question! But if I think which I get the most use out of I'd probably have to go with the original Naked palette. But I love warm, neutral shades and that palette is definitely full of them. Naked 3 was perfect for my wedding makeup and Naked Smoky is awesome for parties! They're all lovely in their own way :) xxx

  19. Hi, Emma! These are all really excellent picks. I love wearing shimmy eyeshadows this time of year -- especially ones that have a hint of gold for like my inner eyes or something. It really seems to make them pop!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm really digging yours as well! I'm officially a follower, and I can't wait to see more posts from you very soon! You do such an excellent job of taking photos. Hope you're staying warm :)

Oh gold is my fave as well. I think if I had to live with just one eye shadow shade for the rest of my life, it would be a golden one!
I hope you have a lovely weekend <3 xx
