Nail Polishes for the Festive Season

It's time for part two in my little Holiday season series. And today I'd like to show you my picks for nails. Since I basically teared my gel nails off after last summer (I know, not the proper way to do it, but tens of euros cheaper), I've had to wear nail polish at all times because my nails are still recovering. Having said that, I don't think it's a disadvantage at all. Polished nails are so pretty!

For this post I chose fairly different sort of shades. I included warm and cold shades in my previous eye shadow post and so it only felt right to do the same in this one.

In no particular order, my picks for the season are Blanc and A Cut Above by Essie and Vintage Wine by Lumene. The latter is a Finnish makeup brand that specializes in using Arctic ingredients in their products. And if you haven't heard of Essie before, then umm..where have you been?

Rose gold glitter.. is there even anything better than that? I've been wearing this colour on it's own but also on top of the white colour. But I still thought of the white colour last for this post, because I felt like this season requires some dark shades. But the colour of snow can't be very wrong for the Holidays, eh? After all, we all dream of a white Christmas along with Bing Crosby ;)

Burgundy red is also a shade I love and I feel like it's better than basic red at the moment. It's slightly deeper and a bit more festive.

What do you think of my nail polish picks? And let me know you're go-to nail polish for this Christmas!

  1. I LOVE these colors! I've been getting more and more attached to a white nail lately because it's classic and goes with everything, but that glitter polish is super cute! I'm such a picker as well... I've never gotten a gel mani before because I know i'll pick it off too haha. I just did a similar post to yours on my blog with holiday nail polish pairings! Hope your week is going well so far :)

    1. Me too! White is actually really pretty on nails! I got gel nails for my wedding and they actually helped me not pick my cuticles but oh my, when they started coming off... I'll definitely check out your post as soon asap! Thank you for the lovely comment and I hope your week is nice too xxx

  2. I wear golden glitter on Christmas, pretty much the only time for the whole year, but I do love me some deep reds too.

  5. Love your picks! Burgundy is usually my go-to polish during the cooler months. However this post has inspired me to paint my nails white with a touch of glitter right now! Beautiful photos, too! :)

  10. Amazing picks, especially the rose gold glitter! I've been loving everything rose gold lately, so there's that too haha. I'm always a little iffy about glitter though, but that's only because it's ridiculous to take off, but sometimes I can't help myself glitter is too pretty! Thanks for sharing :)

  12. Those are perfect honey. I love Lumene brand so much :)
Plus, I LOVE glitter nail polish loads!
Do you know what I do to take glitter nail polish off easily?
I apply a good coat of a clear nail polish and then glitter one on top (after letting the clear one dry first of course). Helps to remove it later ;)
    P.S. Happy Friday babe <3
