DIY Lip Scrub

A yummy lip scrub is something I couldn't live without in the wintertime. Using one is definitely part of my everyday skincare routine and I love making my own scrub. That way I know what ingredients the scrub consists of. This one is really easy to make and it takes less than five minutes. It also tastes really yummy and very sweet, so I usually just eat the excess on my lips :D

You will need
1 travel size jar
2 tsp caster sugar
1 tsp runny honey
1tsp coconut oil
food colouring, the coulour and amount of your choice

Mix all the ingredients together. Be sure to be very careful with the food colouring, a drop or two will be enough. After properly mixed, add the ready scrub into your little jar. Since the scrub doesn't include any presevatives, store it in the fridge or otherwise a cool place at all times to make it last longer.

For super soft lips, use the scrub once a day. Rub it on your lips for a minute or two and wash or eat away! Remember to moisturize after you've scrubbed!

Do you have a lip scrub recipe of your own? I'd love hear if you do!

  1. Even though I know these are pretty easy to make yourself, I usually stick to the ones by The Body Shop. If I´d make one myself, I´d probably skip the coloring, even though I have to admit your pink one looks very pretty.

    1. I've never actually bought a lip scrub, they're so easy to make. Body scrubs are a totally different matter..although I'm quite sure there fairly easy to make too! It's true you could leave out the color, but it just makes it a bit cuter hihi :) xxx

  2. I love a good sugar lip scrub! I normally use a little bit of green tea too as it is super exfoliating! Great post!
