Gift Wrapping

Mission accomplished peeps! I fianlly bought the last pressie today and all that's left is the wrapping. Personally I love wrapping gifts. I'm not a massive arts & crafts person but present wrapping is one of those little things I enjoy and for the past couple of years I've opted for something different than the basic Christmas wrapping papers.

Although Christmas wrapping papers are really pretty, my favourite one is a plain brown packaging paper. I think it's kind of retro, kind of old style, kind of Scandinavian and also very easy to decorate yourself.

I also love to use different materials and tools. Stamps for example are nice and no need to say, easy to use. Burlap string looks lovely with the brown packaging paper. And this year I used some leftover lace string from our wedding last summer. I combined these not-so-traditional decorative pieces together and I think the outcome is really cute! You could save money by using items from nature. For example pinecones and little pine tree branches would look so festive! Maybe I'll try that theme next year ;)

Do you go for the traditional wrappings or do you do something extra?

PS. Myrtle loves to chew on the packages :D

You are a master of gift wrapping - gorgeous brown paper can be transformed into masterpieces if you put your heart & imagination to it! Well done, sweetie :)
It's funny how our minds are so alike, I have literally written a post earlier today on wrapping & presents (well, it's a little Merry Christmas one) - it should go live on Christmas Day <3
Thankful to have found such a lovely friend in you & hope you are having a super exciting week, honey!! Eeeek, Christmas is only a few days away :D

  5. I am really bad at wrapping! Whenever I see a wrapping post on Pinterest, I try to do the same however it ends up being a disaster. You are good at wrapping and they look lovely. Myrtle is so adorable! x

    1. Hehe thanks! Pinterest is such a great source for inspiration but it also makes me feel fustrated. For example I love searching for interior design ideas on there but my house or flat will probably never look like the lovely pics, because I'm suuuch a messy person! :D
Hope your week is going well xxx

  6. We stopped wrapping our presents years ago, to save paper (and time), so we have a cute bag for everyone that we fill with presents and then we take turns and everyone pulls out a present from his or her bag.
It is great fun, but whenever I see such pretty wrapped gifts, I get a little nostalgic.

  7. Omg your wrapping skill are on point! I'm rubbish at wrapping, my family always recognises a present that I've wrapped because it's always with pieces of tape that are stuck nowhere, places where I put tape and then took it back so it has a blank in the paper of pattern... I'm such a mess haha.
You bunny is so cute, I love her!
I hope you have a great week! xx
