New Years Resolutions 2016

Everybody's writing about they're goals for 2016. And I want to join in the fun! 2015 was an amazing year. So much happened, good and bad things. Mostly good and lovely though. I, for example, started this blog, got voted into the top 10 wedding bloggers of Finland, got married and visited the USA for the first time in my life. Those are huge things and I'm more than grateful for all of them. Unfortunately I experienced some sadness as well when my dear Grandfather passed away at the beginning of the year. He was very important to me and I guess even now I'm not quite over it and I miss him so much. But I also believe that he wished me to be happy and in the end, that I have been <3

I  decided to actually sit down, and think what I want from next year. What do I want to achieve? What would I like to experience? And I came up with four goals.

1. Drink more water.
This was on my list last year and I'm afraid the struggle continues. We all know the benefits of drinking enough water, but I'm probably the laziest water drinker in the world! I downloaded a water app for myself now and am hoping it will motivate me.

2. Graduate from uni
This will happen at the end of May if I successfully pass three more courses, do my internship in London and finish my masters thesis. Sounds easy, I bet it won't be it! It will require a lot of hard work and good bum muscles to sit on lol.

3. Blogginwise
I want to do so much. First of all I want to keep writing three times a week, since I have found it to be the perfect schedule for me. It also includes one video a week, because I enjoy rambling to you guys hehe :) But I'd also love to attend a blogger event and change my blogs layout a little!

4. Travel
I don't even want to know how many years I've studied German, because it's definitely a lot and I think I should have visited Germany in that time. Next summer, I'd love to go for a little Tour de Germany. And maybe visit Salzburg while I'm at it hehe. I will also travel to London at least twice, because of my internship. And I honestly can not wait! So exciting.

Finally I would like to thank everybody who visited my blog this year <3 You all mean so much to me and I'd love to get to know you all even better next year. Blogging has so far been a very empowering experience and that's very much because of all the support I get. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Happy New Year 2016 lovelies. Let's make it a special one!

  1. This was a really thoughtful post. Your year sounded very very busy!! Salzburg would be incredible. I don't really have any resolutions, but I just want to sort of do more of what I want, and don't worry about what I dislike/am bad at, if that makes sense? So, I want to just do more of what I am passionate for, like my music and singing. Good luck with your ones and Happy New Year! :) x

    1. That makes all the sense in the world ! I love it. We should all try think more like it. I know most of us have a lot to do and time is limited, but I want to believe that if we like to do something bad enough, you will find time for it :)
And, wow, I wish I could sing hehe. But I'm afraid the only one impressed with my voice is my mum and shower head :D
Happy New Year to you too Rosie! xxx

  7. This is a wonderful post! I am trying to drink more water too especially because it's good for my kidneys (I kinda have a mild kidney disease). And good luck with your studies! How is the financial situation like in Finland? I owe a massive amount of student loans, that's the unfortunate situation in the US :( I heard in most parts of Europe that the tuition is really low, and I wish we modeled after that, but that means we would have to pay high taxes and no one here wants to do that! I'd love to squeeze in some travel too even for a mini vacation, it's just also hard because I'm planning and saving for my wedding in 2017.

    1. Thanks Hannah! I didn't know it's good for kidneys too. I hope you're alright! :)
In Finland we basically pay nothing for tuition. At least compared to many other countries. It's really crazy and we're very lucky in that way.
And good luck on planning the wedding! Enjoy it all the way, it's such a wonderful process! Also when the day approaches, remember to enjoy every second of it, the day goes by so quickly! <3
Happy New Year Hannah <3 xxx

    1. I never make any too big ones either, I don't want to be unmotivated by not fulfilling my resolutions right at the beginning of the year. But little ones are fun in my opinion :)
I'll check out your blog immediately girlie! :) xxx

  13. Drinking more water is definitely important ans also good for the body, I try to drink over 2 liters a day, sometimes it is really hard. Good luck with uni, writing master thesis is the hardest bit of finishing the masters, I remember having many sleepless nights because of it, however then managed to graduate with distinction :) Just work a little hard, then you will achieve everything you want!

Have an amazing year and I wish you all the best! xx

    1. Ooh wow, 2 liters is so much! I struggle with 1,5 which is my goal on my water app hehe. I must admit, I haven't done very well so far :D I need a cool water bottle in my life! :)
And thank you, I definitely need a bit of good luck to survive this spring. Writing my thesis isn't my fave thing in the world, I'd rather do something practical. But oh well, whatcha gonna do eh? :D
All the best to you too lovely <3 Lots of hugs xxx
