6 Things to do before spring

Spring is the season of sunshine and colours (I can't wait to wear more pastel shades!!!). The nature comes back to life and everybody is feeling more cheerful than during the darker winter months. To make the most out of spring, here are a few tips for what to do before we start the new season.
1. Buy flowers
While waiting for the oh-so-lovely season to begin, why not bring spring inside and cheer up your environment with some pretty flowers? Tulips are my fave at this time of the year.

2. Organize your wardrobe
We all know it can get a little crowded in there, especially after a good winter season of lovely warm cardigans and knitwear. Check out what you have been wearing and what not and make room for those lovely and colourful spring clothes. Or, if you're like me, make you floordrobe into a wardrobe and bring that floorspace back into it's original use. :D

3. Organize your makeup collection
My makeup collection was beginning to feel quite crowded too, so a good clear out was definitely in need. While doing so, you might find products you have forgotten about although you like them very much, switch them to the top of your vanity for you to wear more often :)

4. Eat fruits
First of all, I think a proper fruit bowl makes a lovely detail in a home: it looks pretty and yummy at the same time. Also keeping it full makes you eat more fruit. It's all about the colours. I believe they make a change in you from the inside.

5. Workout
We all know about the good feeling working out gives you. If you've only ever heard of it, you might not have just found the right way to work out for yourself. Remember that working out doesn't have to mean going to the gym or running, which are big hits at the moment. It can be anything from dancing to riding a horse, from swimming to power walking. What about deciding on trying something knew before spring starts?
If you've already found that perfect sport for you, set yourself a little goal and reach for it. Makes things so much more interesting! Time flies when you're having fun (or you're busy lol), it'll be spring before you know it!

6. Take care of your plants
If you have any, that is. Incase you didn't know, your plants need a check up every spring. They will have hopefully grown during the past year and need a bigger flower pot. The soil needs changing and plants love some fertilization. My answer to that: buy a rabbit, they poo A LOT :D
If you don't own any plants yet, how about buying an easy one for starters? Succulents and cactus are simple little things and don't need a lot of watering. A jade plant is also an easy one.

Now then, who's excited for spring 2016?
Do you have any plans for spring?

  6. I am excited for spring, but I will wait with the wardrobe organization until Peanut is here and I can figure out what still fits me and what needs to be stored away for next year.
My makeup has been organized, I had some flowers there and my workouts are on hold as well until the postpartum checkup with my doctor, so I am pretty much just waiting...

  7. Ohh, your post got me feeling all spring-like, darling, haha! x Spring in England isn't much... It tends to be quite grey and gloomy, but heyyy I'm still gonna pretend it's sunshine all day. :D x Like you, I'm definietly looking forward to wearing brighter colours, and hopefully some dresses, too! Cleaning out my wardrobe is something I've been meaning to do for a while, and same goes to my makeup collection. Definietly looking forward to eating more fruits and drinking smoothies - fresh fruit can be difficult to get hold of during winter! x Hope you're well hun, thank you for sharing yet another super fab post. x x

I just went through my whole wardrobe and took 4 huge IKEA bags full of old clothes to charity and fleemarkets and I love how organized it all is atm! I'm a messy but organized person...so confusing sometimes :D
Yaay thank you my dear Kay for popping by and leaving the lovely comment. I always read them with a good ol' huge smile on my face <3

  12. I can't wait for Spring, we have had enough winter so it is time for warm spring days :) I need to do most of the things you said starting from organising my wardrobe. I need to give away the things I don't wear, they just stay there so maybe someone can make use of them. Also clearing out makeup is on the list too, I have some old stuff I should throw away. I've put on a few kilos which I should lose asap. I want to fit into my wedding dress :) xx

  14. I LOVE spring and everything happy and bright that it brings :) I have high aspirations for spring 2016 and definitely hope it will a lovely one :) Such an amazing post and great tips on how to get spring-ready, sweetie! Couldn't agree more that cleaning, tidying & organising definitely helps to transition nicely into spring - all nice and fresh. Thanks for the plant recommendations, honey - I just seem to "kill" them way too often but have kept a few alive and growing so that's a step forward lol.
You always give the best advice about fitness, food & self-care, hon. I definitely would love to see more posts related to that in the future ;)
Ahhh, and tulips are my absolutely favourite <3
