Rose Gold Makeup Tutorial for Valentine's Day

The day of dates is almost here! That is of course Valentine's Day. For the day I created a makeup look with rose gold eye shadow and a lovely vintage pink lipstick. This would be perfect for a first date or a wedding or why not just for regular night out with bae!

The perfect rose gold eye shadows can of course be found in the Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay. It's full of them and the shades are so beautiful. The palette is also a Naked palette for a good reason: you can do very natural looks with it, which is really good especially for first dates. You don't want to look like you've made too much of an effort!

On my lips I used a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the shade Between the Sheets. It's a fairly new addition to the CT lipstick family. Because it's a matte formula it stays on forever! Believe me, I accidentally wore it to the gym, and if a lipstick can survive a sweaty bodycombat class, I think it will survive pretty much anything. And again the shade is so nice and perfectly romantic.

A glowing yet natural complexion is also something that is very important in this look. I used the ever so lovely Becca highlighter in the shade Champagne Pop on the top of my cheeks to give just enough of a shine. I remember a girl who once said she wasn't a fan of highlighting, then she tried Champagne Pop and everything changed..oh wait...that might have been me! But seriously, this highlight can be as subtle or as  showy as you want it to be, which is why it's so perfect.

Do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? I myself would love to go to the movies, I haven't been in such a long time! (Wink wink Eero...'cause I know you read this ;) )

Have a lovely weekend <3

  3. As I said on YT before, such a lovely look! And the perfect date lip color, too bright might prevent you from kissing, so I´d go for a natural alternative as well.
Mr. Loca and I don't celebrate Valentines Day, so we have no special plans.

    1. I totally agree, I wouldn't go for a bold lip this time. :) Naturally pink is the way to go! Thanks for the comment Anne xxx

  6. Aww bunny love... how cute it is :) Such a beautiful makeup, sweetie! I love the rose gold eye makeup. It would be perfect for day and night. Also would look gorgeous with bold lips too.
I will probably be at home, and enjoying one of the romantic comedies (having a long distance sucks). Have a lovely week <3 xx

And thank you :) rose gold is just such a beautiful color I think it suits everyone everywhere :D
A romantic comedy sounds nice :) and I totally get long distance relationships, or actually the way they suck :( I was missing my hubby too much while in London. But I also think it makes you stronger as a couple <3 xxx

  7. Yay I love how you included the bunny! I loved this tutorial, it is natural beauty and not overdone! I really want to branch out to YouTube but I don't have the equipment (just a DSLR but no softboxes or extra lights, no circle mirror, etc.) or video editing skills. But it doesn't hurt to start somewhere right?

I have no idea what my fiance and I will be doing on Valentine's Day and our 7 year anniversary (which is the day after). We are going to keep it super-simple because we are trying to save up for our wedding.

    1. Hehee, Myrtle was bouncing around me while I was filming as if she was trying to be on the video :D
I'm so glad to hear you liked the look. Natural is the way to go, always, in my opinion :)
Well, to be quite honest, you're already better equipped than me =D I have my camera and a tripod and I work with pure daylight. Mind you, a ring light would make my life easier and the lack of it does show sometimes... but oh well. I think you can start with whatever you have and if you like and enjoy it, then think of purchasing more equipment. You don't want to buy it all, try it out and then notice you don't want to do it anymore :)
Wooow, 7 years is such a long time! Congrats! And I remember so well what saving for the wedding felt like =D But of course it's totally worth it <3 xxx

  8. Ohh my gosh I'm in love with this look! It's so romantic and natural, and very effortless. :) I seriously want to try this Champagne Pop highlighter - I'm not typically a huge fan of highlighting, it feels like I can never get it quite right! But I just love how that one looks on you. :) The rose gold shades are absolutely stunning - Naked 3 palette has been on my wishlist for so long now! x Also, I'm not sure what we're doing on V-Day yet... Honestly? I don't care much for Valentine's! It always seems so over-commercialised to me, but I'm probably alone in thinking that. x x

Champagne pop is so amazing..I'm not the biggest fan of hihglighting either and my skin usually does that without any products :D but this highlighter is just superb! Naked 3 is also one of my faves <3
And I don't think you're the only one with your thoughts on Valentine's. I myself don't really care for all the commercialised things surrounding the day either, but e.g. the idea of receiving secret valentine's cards is so cute :D and other traditional things <3 Have a lovely week my fave Kay in the world :) <3

  9. I don't usually wear makeup, and when I go out or I want to wear some for a special event, it's really hard for me to find the right one so I won't feel like it's not me! I've been looking for a solution for a long time, and this one looks perfect because it's really subtle, I'll definitely check those items :) Thanks for the recommendations! ^^

The CT lipstick is a dream! I love it so much and I'm so glad I bought it. A lady tried it on me in a CT shop and I instantly fell in love.
