My Fragrance Collection

Good Wednesday or little Saturday gorgeous people! How is everybody's week going so far? I hope well <3 I've had a more relaxed week than usually and I'm definitely feeling that upcoming spring and can't wait for it to properly start! I've done all the things I said to do in my latest post, except take care of the plants and I'm so ready for some more sunshine!

My little fragrance collection is going to be the spotlight of today's post. I feel like it's the perfect size for me and I all these products on a regular basis. I usually wear a different scent everyday, depending on my mood and what my plans are for the day. Some fragrances are only for special occasions. I have 11 different bottles in my collection. Read on to find out more about them.

Emma by Laura Ashley

If you look very carefully at the photos, you might notice that there are actually two bottles named Emma. They are both from Laura Ashley, the other bottle clearly older (and emptier) than the other. The fragrance was originally designed by Laura Ashley for her daughter, Emma. As it happens, I've received both bottles from my Mum. If I had to describe this fragrance with a colour I'd say green as I think it's really floral. The bottle is probably the most stylish one I have in my opinion, which is why the newer version sits right at the front of my collection.

Black Opium by YSL
Compared to Emma (to the fragrance, not me...lol), this is a softer scent with more of a vanilla base I think. I also remember reading somewhere, that is has notes of coffee. Which is weird, because I really love this fragrance but the scent of actual original coffee isn't my fave. That said, this perfume is probably my most used at the moment. I don't love the bottle, I'm much more into clear and girly bottles, but I'll forgive it this time since the scent is so amazing!

Bamboo by Gucci
Before I do anything else I must ask you to repeat Gucci Bamboo really quickly and as many times as you can. A lovely blogger friend of mine called Rachel (www.blonderhombus.com) said she giggles about it, so of course I had to try it and it does sound quite funny after a while :D The bottle is really pretty, maybe not as girly as my fave bottles as it has some strong lines to it but really aesthetic anyhow. When I first sniffed this I totally felt like I could have teleported to a bamboo forest. The scent is kind of woody kind of floral. A very lovely mixture of those two, in my opinion.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs
This is the best! My absolute fave and almost signature fragrance. I have repurchased this over and over again and I never get enough of it. I usually go for the original one although their Blush collection is wonderful too. Mine is kind of taking it's last breaths, so maybe a new bottle with pink flowers this time is something I should consider.. Oh, and about the bottle: I love it! It's girly yet simple.

Belle Chérie by Fragonard
This is very special to me and I only wear it on special occasions anymore since I'm almost running out of it. I wore this on my wedding day and it reminds me of that magical day everytime I take the lid of the bottle. I really recommend picking a special wedding fragrance for yourself, that way you can go back to that day whenever you want to <3 It's a floral and fruity scent yet nowhere near too sweet. The bottle isn't my favourite but I think it looks kind of vintage.

Parisienne by YSL
I love the design of this bottle. It's very chic as is the scent. It reminds of  high heels and lipsticks. Although that is the case and I love lipsticks ( I'd love high heels too, but I always feel too tall to wear them), this fragrance was a bit of a mishit for me. I've had it since 2010 and I've hardly used it. It's lovely, but just not my type.

Vanilla Ice Cream by The Library of Fragrance
Right, so I love Vanilla. I love ice cream. And I love a good affordable fragrance. Basically I love this product. You have to give it a sniff if you haven't already. It's so good and yummy! The brand make some really amazing scents such as Grass and Gingerbread and Sunshine and whatever else you can imagine! And they actually smell of what they claim to smell like. Tbh I've never smelt real sunshine but I'm sure they've got it quite right!

Love Spell, Endless Love & Vanilla Lace by Victoria's Secret
The famous VS body mists. I too have them and would probably have a bunch more, but I think three bottles fit quite perfectly my collection. My fave and oldest of the mists is Vanilla Lace, which you might have been able to guess by the photos. I bought Love Spell on our honeymoon and it always reminds me of summer and holidays. Endless Love is a lovely fresh scent I love to wear to work. The next one I want is definitely Pure Seduction. I have it as a body lotion and I freakin' LOVE IT! <3

What are your fave fragrances? How many do you have in your collection?
Do you like the VS body mists?

Lots of hugs to all you lovely people <3

  1. I've always wanted to try Opium as well, although I hadn't seen many reviews on Parisienne before this! I didn't think I had so many perfumes but I have Daisy, Dot, Emporio Armani Diamonds, a few that I borrow from my family and my latest addition Chloe love story :)

  2. I LOVE the smell of Daisy and Daisy Dream. My signature scents are Taylor Swift wonderstruck, but most of all white musk from the body shop, my friend described the smell of it the other day as "Rosie' scent" haha ^.^ Great post! xx

  4. I can't wait for Friday to be over so I can enjoy the relaxing weekend! I hope all is going well with you :) I've only tried a few VS mists, I can't even remember when was the last time I used one. Daisy smells amazing, it was one of my favourite perfumes. I need to purchase black opium, I keep sniffing it but not buying it, shame on me :) I have around 10 perfumes and it is hard to pick my favourite, as I keep changing my perfume frequently. xx

    1. We have a very similar sized collection then. I feel like it's the perfect size and you get to use all of the scents. Oh course there are a lot more perfumes in this world which I'd love to try and own, but these are good for now :)

  5. I have samples of Daisy, and it smells so delightful! The YSL bottle reminds me of those vintage looking bottles you see stars spritzing (with an attached round pump) when getting ready in front of the lighted vanities, haha. I really want Chloe Eau de Parfum saved under my "Sephora" loves

  7. Oh my gosh YES, you know how much I love fragrance posts, hun!!! <3 This post is great, I loved reading about your collection - it seems that your taste in perfumes is very similar to mine, which is awesome! :) <3 I wasn't a huge fan of Parisienne myself, have you tried the Extreme edition? It's a lot more intense, fruity, and without the weird 'plasticky' note... Daisy is wonderful for summer, and Black Opium is just so feminine and sensual. :) The only one on your list I haven't tried is the Laura Ashley one, but I'm really tempted to give it a sniff! <3 x x

    1. Hehe, I have to admit I was thinking about you while working on this post hon <3 :D I feel like there should be a perfume called Kay in this world! :)
And I'll have to try the Extreme edition of Parisienne. I've never heard of it, but to be honest I've kind of kept away from the whole thing after I bought my version. But thank for the tip, I'll have a look into it :)
